Administrative Assistant

Essential Duties & Responsibilities First contact for all customers and vendors through telephone.
Responsible for transferring calls, taking messages, and handling emergency phone calls.
Retrieves messages from voicemail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
Answers questions about organization, providing callers with address, directions, and other information as appropriate.
Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
Monitors visitor access and issues fobs when required.
Receives and maintains office supplies.
Creates and prints forms, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary.
Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, copying and filing.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
